Here are the photos of all who took part in the Level 2 Inter-school Cross Country Competition 2017.
We are delighted to have just been awarded a Bronze Level School Games Sport Award. This recognises our increased participation amongst children in curriculum PE, extra-curricular physical activities and inter-school competitions. We want to encourage all our children to be active and make good healthy life style choices and we are continuing to develop and raise the profile of this subject in school.
This term, children from year 3 took part in a Mini Football Festival at OSA and learnt some fundamental skills aswell as having a first experience of playing in teams against other schools. Meanwhile, our year 4 football teams took part in a Level 1 Inter-School 6 aside Competition. Both teams showed fantastic team work and dedication, well done to both. Team Superstars were overall Winners and go through to Level 2 at Marston Court Arena in March. Children from year 5 and 6 took part in a Level 2 Interschool Cross Country Competition. We were delighted with how well the children represented St Christopers and did their best on the day for themselves and their team. Eni, from Aspen class showed outstanding sportswomanship by helping a fellow team mate to finish the course. Ben Bruno from Aspen class, brought us home a Silver medal, coming 2nd in a race of approx. 120 other boys across the city. Well done Year 5 and 6. Year 5’s are currently enjoying some Football Fundamental coaching, in their PE lessons from coach Kevin Lloyd who runs coaching sessions at The Oxford Academy.
